Big Man, Little Love Turkish Byk Adam Kk Ak , Kurdish Hejar is a 2001 international coproduction drama film, written and directed by Handan peki, about an orphaned Kurdish child and a Turkish pensioner thrown together by circumstance. The film, which went on nationwide general release across Turkey on October19,200120011019 , won awards at film festivals in Antalya, Cairo, Cologne and Istanbul, including the Golden Orange for Best Film, and was Turkeys submission to the 74th Academy Awards for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not accepted as a nominee.
